RIDES

BEGINNERS RIDES

This is a ride where the pace is 10-12 m/h and distances are 10-15 miles.  Though this is not a "learn to ride", expectations are still sensible enough to allow you the freedom to familiarize yourself with your bike.  If you are unsure if this ride is for you, please fill out a contact form and we can help guide you.

  • 7:00pm - Wednesday, Tesco Express, Chafford Hundred (station side)

  • 8:00am - Saturday, Tesco Express, Chafford Hundred (station side)

INTERMEDIATE RIDES

This is a ride where the pace is 14-16 m/h and distances are 25-40 miles.  Best part about this group is that, it's usually comprised of riders of all weight and power classes, yet we all work together to ride safely, stay together, and have a good time. This is for any rider, male or female, looking for a structured group ride that is safe and predictable. Please be aware that there is a minimum expectation of fitness.

One way to succeed within this group is to grow your riding volume as the season progresses and follow the group riding etiquette.  There often are guest riders, with a break halfway through for breakfast and ending with a coffee, if so desired.

  • 7:30am - Saturday morning - Tesco Express, Chafford Hundred (station side).

  • 7:30am - Sunday Morning, Tesco Express, Chafford Hundred (station side).

ADVANCED RIDES

This is for riders wishing to leave the intermediate group and move onto more challenging rides.

Expectation is that you have already been riding for a few seasons and are familiar with group ride etiquette. This group can be quite spirited, though it is a much quicker pace, riders will still look out for each other, and decide on sensible regroup points.

Distances build during the season from 50-100 miles on Sundays, with a Wednesday overall average speed ranging from 16-19 m/h.There is usually a midweek ride and is shorter and quite quick.  All our more seasoned members are encouraged to participate.  This creates a unique opportunity for some of the less experienced members to come out and challenge themselves – memorise the route, and hold that wheel for as long as you can. There often are guest riders, with a break halfway through for breakfast and ending with a coffee, if so desired.
